Junior Summer English Cambridge for Ages 12–19

Held At One Of The Colleges Of University Of Cambridge
29th JUNE - 06TH SEPTEMBER 2025
£2,595 per week | Attend from 1 to 8 weeks

Lite College’s Junior Summer English Course is an exciting and immersive language program designed for students aged 12 to 19. Held in the vibrant academic city of Cambridge, the course provides full-board accommodation in a safe, supportive environment. Students from around the world come together to improve their English through expert-led lessons, creative workshops, and fun afternoon and evening activities. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, this course helps you gain real confidence in speaking and using English every day.

The program offers over 30 hours of structured lessons and hands-on workshops each week, led by experienced teachers from top UK universities. With small class sizes of no more than 10 students, every learner receives personal attention and support. Before the course begins, students take a placement test to join a group that matches their English level—from beginner (A1) to proficient (C2). This ensures that everyone learns at the right pace and with classmates at a similar stage. A major focus is building speaking skills through real-world practice, like conversations during lunch or group outings.

CEFR Levels

Students are placed in groups from A1 (Beginner) to C2 (Proficient) based on their English level.

Every Thursday, students enjoy an English cultural trip to London's famous West End Theatres or local cinemas. They’ll have the chance to watch shows like Matilda the Musical, The Lion King, Wicked, and more—all age-appropriate and chosen to both entertain and expose them to rich, expressive English. These cultural experiences help students connect language with context and culture, making learning even more memorable and meaningful.

Cultural trips include exciting, age-appropriate shows at London’s West End Theatres—an immersive way to experience English!

Junior Summer English (12-19)

With 30 hours per week of engaging lessons and hands-on workshops, students will experience a well-rounded approach to English learning—both inside and outside the classroom.

Each weekday begins with structured morning lessons focusing on essential English areas such as grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking. Our communicative approach ensures lessons are age-appropriate, interactive, and enjoyable, using games, discussions, and practical tasks to keep students motivated and involved.

Students will be grouped according to their English proficiency level, allowing for more tailored learning and a smoother progression. This ensures each student receives the right amount of challenge and support, maximizing their learning experience.

CEFR Levels

In the afternoons, students participate in creative workshops that encourage spoken English and build confidence. These include role plays, debates, interviews, presentations, and collaborative tasks—helping learners apply their skills in meaningful, real-world contexts.

To make learning even more immersive, students are encouraged to speak only English during lunch breaks, especially when ordering food or socializing, allowing them to develop natural fluency and conversational confidence.

A highlight of the course is an English educational trip to the famous West End theatre district. Every Thursday, students will visit West End theatres to watch iconic shows of their choice, such as Matilda the Musical, The Lion King, Wicked, Hamilton, and more! Alternatively, they can enjoy English films at the cinema, further enhancing their language skills through immersive experiences.
